Beyoncé announces long-awaited new solo album ‘Renaissance,’ dropping July 29

Beyoncé has revealed the title and release date for her first solo album in six years, “Renaissance,” set to drop July 29.

The superstar took to social media to make the announcement, along with listing the music and products on her website and several streaming services, including Tidal and Spotify.


Rumors of a new solo album spread like wildfire across the internet after Beyoncé removed her profile photos across all her social media platforms last week.


“Renaissance” would be the Beyoncé’s first solo album since 2016’s “Lemonade.” Taking a break from her own music. Beyonce has continued to stay busy, being featured on Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” remix and performing the song “Be Alive,” from the film “King Richard” at the 2022 Academy Awards to open the show.


In 2019, she curated and produced the soundtrack album “The Lion King: The Gift,” for the remake of “The Lion King,” which she also starred in. The song “Black Parade” from the soundtrack went on to win a Grammy in 2021 for best R&B performance.

More recently, Beyoncé graced the cover of British Vogue where she spoke with the publication ahead of her long-awaited return to releasing solo music.
